dc.description.abstractRESUMEN El propósito del presente informe ha sido determinar la forma en que se presentan los estereotipos de publicidad infantil en los catálogos ‘Navidad 2014’ y ‘Navidad 2015’ de Supermercados Tottus. El estudio se desarrolló en forma analítica tomando en cuenta una muestra a criterio especificada por la autora. Esta muestra estuvo conformada por dieciocho páginas de publicidad infantil del catálogo mencionado. Cada una de ellas fue analizada de acuerdo a las dimensiones de protagonista, producto, color, espacio, personaje y texto. Pese a tratarse de un trabajo descriptivo, se planteó una hipótesis general señalando que la publicidad de los catálogos ‘Navidad 2014’ y ‘Navidad 2015’ de Supermercados Tottus sigue una estructura de lenguaje y símbolos gráficos que diferencia de modo evidente las actividades y roles sociales por género. Esta hipótesis se subdividió en tres derivadas: las niñas son mostradas con una actitud pasiva y relacionada al rol de ama de casa y de madre; los niños con un nivel de agresividad y actividad mayor que el de las niñas y, finalmente, existe una marcada diferencia entre las apelaciones según el género del protagonista. Para realizar este análisis se utilizó un instrumento adaptado a la investigación, siguiendo el modelo actancial de Greimas. Los resultados obtenidos individualmente se contrastaron en conjunto en un cuadro comparativo de análisis. De esta manera se pudo identificar las características genéricas de la publicidad estudiada y la forma estereotípica que utiliza la empresa para presentar la publicidad. Los resultados del análisis permiten concluir que existe una clara diferencia en el discurso publicitario, su estructura de lenguaje y símbolos gráficos varía según el género al que va dirigido. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This report had the purpose to determine the form in which is present the stereotypes of infantile advertising in the catalogues ‘Navidad 2014’ and ‘Navidad 2015" of Supermercados Tottus. The study developed in analytical form bearing in mind a criteria sample specified by the author. This sample consisted of eighteen pages of children’s advertising of the mentioned catalogue. Each of them was analyzed talking into account the dimensions of protagonist, product, color, space, character and text. In despite the fact that treating itself about a descriptive work, a general hypothesis appeared indicating that the advertising in the catalogues ‘Navidad 2014’ and ‘Navidad 2015’ of Supermercados Tottus follows a language structure and graphical symbols that are distinguished the activities and gender social roles in an evident way the activities and social roles for gender. This hypothesis subdivided in three derivatives: girls are shown by an attitude passive and related to the social roles of housewives and mothers; boys with a level of aggressiveness and major activity that that of the girls and, finally, a marked difference between the appeals according to the gender of the protagonist. To determine how are presented it was used an instrument, which was modified following the narrative model of Greimas. The results individually obtained were constrasted as a whole in an analytical comparative table of analysis. This made it possible to identify the generic characteristics of the studied advertising and the stereotypic form that used by the company to present it. The results allows to conclude that a clear difference exists in the advertising speech, the language structure and graphical symbols differs according to the gender to which it is directed.
