Propuesta de mejora en la gestión de inventarios para el grupo suministros diversos a fin de reducir los costos logísticos de una empresa agroindustrial de La Libertad

Abstract

Esta tesis presenta una propuesta de mejora en la gestión de inventarios para el grupo suministros diversos a fin de reducir los costos logísticos de una empresa Agroindustrial de La Libertad, tema que abarca desde el diagnóstico situacional de la empresa hasta el análisis económico de la propuesta planteada, centrándose en los materiales de mayor rotación dentro del grupo suministros diversos durante el periodo anual 2011. La empresa en la cual se basa el presente análisis es una de las más importantes en el sector agroindustrial. Sin embargo, el aumento constante de las existencias y los largos periodos de cobertura en la empresa son motivos de preocupación del área de logística, demostrando un mal manejo en los volúmenes despachados, motivo por el cual la propuesta de mejora está basada en la metodología de Cantidad Económica de Pedido y el Punto de reorden. La metodología se aplicó a un total de 852 materiales de alta rotación, con una demanda de consumo constante y pertenecientes al grupo suministros diversos, grupo que ocupa el 25.04% del total de las existencias de la empresa. El ahorro obtenido por la propuesta al final del periodo 2011 representa el 78.18% frente al real obtenido al final del mismo periodo, suma que asciende a 423,236.25 US$, además se obtuvo un ahorro del 8.95% por manejo de inventario equivalente a un total de 420.47 US$. El análisis económico arrojó un VAN de 116,120.83 US$ y un TIR de 54.99%, además, el análisis costo beneficio de la propuesta nos demuestra que por cada dólar invertido se obtiene una ganancia de 23.33 US$. El presente análisis se enmarca en las ciencias de la Ingeniería industrial, orientado a la logística en planificación y control de inventarios, y pretende solucionar una problemática real mediante técnicas y metodologías relacionadas con la gestión de inventarios.

This thesis presents a proposal of improvement in the inventory management for the group diverse supplies in order to reduce the logistic costs of an Agroindustrial company of La Libertad, topic that includes from the situational diagnosis of the company up to the analysis cost benefit of the raised offer, centring on the materials of major rotation inside the group on diverse supplies during the annual period 2011. The company in which are based on the analysis is one of the most important in agro-industrial. However, the growing stocks and the long periods of coverage in the company of concern in the area of logistics, demonstrating a mishandling volumes, why the proposal for improving is based on the methodology of Economic Order Quantity and the point of reorden. The methodology was applied to a total of 852 materials of high rotation, with a constant demand consumption and belonging to the group diverse supplies, group that occupies 25.04 % of the total of the stocks of the company. The saving obtained by the proposal at the end of the period 2011 represents 78.18 % opposite to the real one obtained at the end of the same period, sum that promotes 423,656.73 US$, in addition there was obtained a saving of 8.95 % by managing of inventory equivalent to a total of 420.47 US$. The economic analysis showed a NPV of 116.120,83 US$ and an IRR of 54,99 %, plus, costbenefit analysis of the proposal shows that for every dollar invested to get a gain

of 23.33 US$.

The present analysis places in the sciences of the industrial Engineering, orientated to the logistics in planning and inventory control, and tries to solve a real problem by means of techniques and methodologies related to the inventory management.
