Implementación de la metodología 5´S en una empresa de servicios funerarios – Lima 2018

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal determinar de qué manera la aplicación de las 5´S incide en la reducción de gastos y el clima laboral de una empresa que brinda servicios funerarios en la ciudad de Lima – Perú. Para lo cual utilizaremos una prueba piloto con la finalidad de que en base a los resultados iniciales podamos pronosticar el alcance a las demás áreas de la organización y proponer a la empresa la implementación de esta metodología. La importancia de este trabajo radica no solo en la demostración del funcionamiento e impacto de la metodología 5’S en la mejora de procesos de la empresa funeraria; sino en los beneficios que podrían ser obtenidos para la empresa y para el personal en términos económicos (reducción de gastos y de tiempo) así como en términos de mejora del ambiente físico laboral. Este piloto consistió en capacitar e implementar los siguientes elementos: clasificación, orden, limpieza, estandarización y disciplina, dentro de un área de funeraria con respecto a la atención inmediata al cliente contratado, con el objetivo de crear una cultura hacia la calidad. Se utilizaron dos mediciones (antes y después) del experimento una toma de investigación para indagar si se tenía conocimiento del tema y otra para comparar los resultados iniciales obtenidos aplicando diferentes herramientas de las 5S y fotografías durante un cierto tiempo, que nos permita proyectar la implementación total. Finalmente este trabajo procura dejar un antecedente formal de la optimización de recursos que se puede realizar en otras empresas del rubro.

ABSTRACT The main objective of this paper is to determine how the application of the 5'S impacts on the reduction of expenses and the work environment of a company that provides funeral services in the city of Lima - Peru. For which we will use a pilot test so that based on the initial results we can forecast the scope to other areas of the organization and propose to the company the implementation of this methodology. The importance of this work lies not only in the demonstration of the operation and impact of the 5'S methodology in the improvement of funeral company processes; but in the benefits that could be obtained for the company and for the personnel in economic terms (reduction of expenses and time) as well as in terms of improving the physical working environment. This pilot consisted of training and implementing the following elements: classification, order, cleanliness, standardization and discipline, within a funeral area with respect to immediate attention to the client hired, with the aim of creating a culture towards quality. Two measurements (before and after) of the experiment were used, one research shot to investigate if the subject was known and another to compare the initial results obtained by applying different tools of the 5S and photographs during a certain time, which allows us to project the implementation total. Finally, this work tries to leave a formal antecedent of the optimization of resources that can be done in other companies in the field.
