dc.description.abstractPeru is in the central, western part of South America. It is located between 81°19′35″and 68°30′11″ west longitude, and between 0°01′48″ and 18°21′05″ south latitude. It borders Ecuador and Colombia to the North, Brazil to the East, Chile and Bolivia to the South and the Pacific Ocean to the West.Peru covers 1,285,216 km2. It is the third largest country in South America and number 20 in the world.
