Mejora de la gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo para disminuir la accidentabilidad laboral de una empresa metalmecánica, Chimbote, 2019

Abstract

La presente investigación buscó implementar mejoras en la gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SST) en base a la ley 29783 y la norma ISO 45001, para disminuir su accidentabilidad laboral, aplicado a las actividades y colaboradores de una empresa metalmecánica, mediante un estudio de diseño preexperimental con pre y post test. Los resultados iniciales determinaron que la empresa solo cumplía con el 29% de los lineamientos de la norma ISO 45001, con un nivel de riesgo alto del 30%, generados principalmente por peligros locativos, los cuales ocasionaron 9 accidentes y 83 días perdidos en el año 2018. Se realizaron mejoras en la gestión de SST, logrando cumplir con 97% de los lineamientos de la norma ISO 45001, disminuyendo totalmente el nivel de riesgo intolerable, y con ello los accidentes en -67% y sus días perdidos en -84%, probándose la significancia de los resultados con la prueba estadística de Wilcoxon y T-Student, obteniendo un costo beneficio de 8.2. Resultados que permitieron concluir que la mejora realizada en la gestión de SST logró disminuir la accidentabilidad de la empresa metalmecánica en estudio.

The present investigation sought to implement improvements in Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) management based on Law 29783 and ISO 45001 standard, to reduce its occupational accident rate, applied to the activities and collaborators of a metalworking company, through a Pre-experimental design study with pre and post test. The initial results determined that the company only complied with 29% of the guidelines of the ISO 45001 standard, with a high risk level of 30%, generated mainly by locative hazards, which caused 9 accidents and 83 days lost in the year. 2018. Improvements were made in the management of SySO, achieving compliance with 97% of the guidelines of the ISO 45001 standard, totally reducing the level of intolerable risk, and with it accidents by -67% and their days lost by -84% , testing the significance of the results with the statistical test of Wilcoxon and T-student, obtaining a cost benefit of 8.2 Results that allowed us to conclude that the improvement made in the management of SySO managed to decrease the accident rate of the metalworking company under study.
