Calidad del agua utilizando un sistema de filtros en serie de diferentes materiales en el río Chonta – tramo Otuzco en la ciudad de Cajamarca 2019

Conocedores de la importancia de la calidad del agua en la vida de las personas, esta investigación planteó mejorar la calidad del agua mediante un sistema de filtros en serie de diferentes materiales en el río Chonta – Tramo Otuzco, en la ciudad de Cajamarca, 2019, para que cumpla los estándares de calidad para consumo humano. Para la remoción de contaminantes del afluente (Río Chonta) y el efluente (filtro 04 - Carbón Activado), se elaboraron 4 filtros, el primer filtro de macrófitas flotantes (Jacintos), el segundo filtro tiene macroalgas (Hydrodictyon Reticulatum); el filtro 03 es un filtro a base de Piedra Caliza y Arcilla y el ultimo filtro compuesto de carbón activado. Después de cada filtro se realizó un control de calidad del agua, analizando 15 muestras durante 03 semanas en el Gobierno Regional del Agua, cada muestra analiza 05 parámetros (Turbidez, pH, Color Verdadero, Coliformes Totales y Coliformes Termotolerantes). El porcentaje de remoción de contaminantes y/o mejora promedio de los distintos parámetros son: turbidez 82.12%, pH 1.82% de mejora, Coliformes totales 79.73% y Coliformes termotolerantes 81.58%, para el Color Verdadero no presento variación, se mantuvo las tres semanas. Por lo tanto, los filtros más eficaces en la remoción de contaminantes fueron el filtro 01 (macrófitas flotantes – Jacintos) y el filtro 04 (Carbón Activado), el de menor remoción fue el filtro 03(Arcilla y Piedra Caliza), mientras que el filtro 02 (Hydrodictyon Reticulatum) no aportó mucho en la eficiencia del sistema. Se logró demostrar y aceptar la hipótesis pues lo valores presentados superan el 40%.
