Propuesta de mejora en la gestión de producción para incrementar la rentabilidad de una empresa editora

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo incrementar la rentabilidad de la Empresa Editora Nuevo Norte SA., mediante propuesta de una mejora en la gestión de producción en todo el proceso productivo del periódico, revistas y libros. Se realizó un diagnóstico general en la producción de los tres productos, y se detectó sobre tiempo en los procesos, falta de mantenimiento de la maquinaria, mal manejo de las impresoras que ocasiona la mala calidad de impresión, falta de señales de seguridad asi como no contar con un área de seguridad y salud ocupacional que se ocupe por el bienestar de los empleados, lo que conlleva a tener un inadecuado ambiente de trabajo y asi ocasionar accidentes. Mediante la implementación de las técnicas de estudio de tiempos, distribución de planta, y una posible y considerable inversión de nueva maquinaria que influiría notablemente en el proceso productivo y la calidad de impresión de los tres productos y sería posible de incrementar su rentabilidad e incluso de lanzar un nuevo producto de buena calidad. En el primer capítulo se describe el entorno de los negocios en la actualidad, haciendo énfasis en la competencia del diario Nuevo Norte S.A. Se plantea la problemática, se establece el objetivo general y los objetivos específicos de la presente tesis, así como la justificación, los alcances y límites de la misma. El segundo capítulo refiere al marco teórico de los métodos a emplear y sustentar. El tercer capítulo muestra la situación actual de la empresa, una visualización completa en su proceso productivo. El cuarto capítulo es el desarrollo de la propuesta donde se detalla la implementación de una nueva maquinaria, asi como los métodos a utilizar que son el estudio de tiempos, la distribución de planta, la implementación de una gestión de seguridad y salud ocupacional, plan de mantenimiento. En el Quinto capítulo se evalúa la rentabilidad de la empresa de acuerdo a lo desarrollado en el cuarto capitulo. Y por último el sexto capítulo muestra lo resultados que se obtuvieron y son: - Con un plande mantenimiento se disminuyó la merma en el proceso productivo a 0.2% de mejora. - Con la implementación de la nueva maquinaria aumentó considerablemente un 56% de producción de periódico, de revista 51% y de libros 50% de la producción. - Con un estudio de tiempos se calculó que en tiempos de producción se tiene demasiado elevados, se redujo un 28% de tiempo en el proceso del periódico, un 63% en revista y 59% en libros. - Se reduciría a 0 % de trabajadores accidentados por la implementación de una Gestion de Seguridad Ocupacional y así la empresa no sufriría alguna multa por parte del Ministerio de Trabajo. - Con la nueva distribución de planta se tiene un ahorro por caminata innecesaria de S/. 33,350.55.

The objective of this work is to increase the profitability of Editora Nuevo Norte SA, through the proposal of an improvement in production management throughout the production process of the newspaper, magazines and books. A general diagnosis was made in the production of the three products, and time was detected in the processes, lack of maintenance of the machinery, poor handling of the printers that causes poor print quality, lack of safety signals as well as no have an area of occupational health and safety that is concerned with the welfare of employees, which leads to an inadequate work environment and thus cause accidents. Through the implementation of time study techniques, plant distribution, and a possible and considerable investment of new machinery that would significantly influence the production process and print quality of the three products and would be possible to increase their profitability and even launch a new product of good quality. In the first chapter the business environment is described today, emphasizing the competition of the newspaper Nuevo Norte S.A. The problem is posed, the general objective and the specific objectives of this thesis are established, as well as the justification, the scope and limits of it. The second chapter refers to the theoretical framework of the methods to be used and supported. The third chapter shows the current situation of the company, a complete visualization in its productive process. The fourth chapter is the development of the proposal where the implementation of a new machinery is detailed, as well as the methods to be used, which are the study of times, the distribution of the plant, the implementation of an occupational health and safety management, maintenance. In the fifth chapter the profitability of the company is evaluated according to what was developed in the fourth chapter. And finally the sixth chapter shows the results that were obtained and are: - With a maintenance plan, the reduction in the productive process was reduced to 0.2% improvement. - With the implementation of the new machinery it increased considerably 56% of newspaper production, of magazine 51% and of books 50% of the production. - With a study of times it was calculated that in times of production it is too high, it was reduced 28% of time in the newspaper process, 63% in magazine and 59% in books. - It would reduce to 0% of workers injured by the implementation of an Occupational Safety Management and thus the company would not suffer any fine from the Ministry of Labor. - With the new plant distribution there is a saving per unnecessary walk of S /. 33,350.55.
