Impacto del sector minero en el crecimiento económico del Perú durante el periodo 1992-2015

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el impacto del sector minero en el crecimiento económico peruano durante el período 1992 - 2015. En el desarrollo del estudio, se tendrá como eje principal responder a la pregunta planteada: ¿Cuál fue el impacto del sector minero en el crecimiento económico del Perú durante el período 1992 – 2015? Este estudio se caracteriza por ser una investigación con enfoque cuantitativo de diseño no experimental con corte longitudinal, en el que se trabajó con bases de datos de fuentes oficiales como el BCRP, PROMPERU, INEI, utilizando el programa econométrico “Eviews” para ver la significancia de las variables, siendo estas, el PBI real peruano como variable dependiente y el PBI minero, las inversiones mineras y las exportaciones mineras como variables independientes. De esta forma se analizaron las variables bajo el modelo de los mínimos cuadrados ordinarios (MCO) mediante la metodología de Cointegración de Engel y Granger (1987). De esta manera, se afirma la hipótesis general planteada en la investigación, la cual es que existió una relación positiva en el impacto del sector minero en el crecimiento económico peruano durante el período 1992 - 2015, hallándose una relación significativa entre las variables de estudio, la cual se evidenció en las pruebas e indicadores estadísticos.

The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the mining sector on Peruvian economic growth during the period 1992 - 2015. In the development of the study, the main axis will be to answer the question posed: What was the impact of the mining sector on the economic growth of Peru during the period 1992 - 2015? This study is characterized by a research with a non-experimental quantitative approach with a longitudinal cut, in which databases were worked with official sources such as the BCRP, PROMPERU, INEI, using the econometric program "Eviews" to see the significance of the variables, being these, the Peruvian real GDP as a dependent variable and the mining GDP, the mining investments and the mining exports as independent variables. In this way, the variables under the ordinary least squares (OLS) model were analyzed through the Cointegration methodology of Engel and Granger (1987). In this way, the general hypothesis stated in the research is affirmed, which is that there was a positive relationship in the impact of the mining sector on the Peruvian economic growth during the period 1992 - 2015, being a significant relationship between the study variables, which was evidenced in the statistical tests and indicators.
