T The main objective of this experimental research was to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of the adobe compacted with the incorporation of coconut fibers, made in the CINVA RAM machine (The machine was developed by the engineer Raúl Ramírez (RAM) of the CINVA-Inter-American Center Housing and Planning within Project 22 of the OAS). To study the soil with which the adobe units were made, the material was extracted from the “La Arenita” quarry - Otuzco - Cajamarca. Initially, the granulometric analysis was carried out by siphoning, to check if it meets the gradation required by Standard E.080 (Design and Construction with Reinforced Earth), then the Modified Proctor test was performed for the standard sample and samples with fiber incorporation coconut (0.25%, 0.50% and 0.75%), then the compacted adobe units were made and then they were tested for compression, flexion and degree of absorption. The results obtained were satisfactory, since the incorporation of coconut fibers improved its resistance to axial compression by 24.40%, reaching 36.83kg / cm2 with respect to the value found in the standard sample, which was 28.21kg / cm2, as regards Flexural strength increases by 13.68% reaching 8.48kg / cm2, in the standard sample that was 7.32kg / cm2. Finally, the study units with and without incorporation of coconut fibers did not resist the absorption test.es_PE
