Factores maternos asociados a la interrupción de la lactancia materna exclusiva del C.M.I Santa Luzmila II del distrito de Comas-Lima, 2021

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar los factores maternos asociados a la interrupción de la lactancia materna exclusiva del C.M.I Santa Luzmila II del distrito de Comas -Lima, 2021. El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo y el diseño de investigación es no experimental de corte transversal con un alcance descriptivo correlacional. Como instrumento se utilizó un cuestionario. El cual contó con 17 preguntas que buscan determinar la asociación de los factores maternos intrínsecos y extrínsecos en la interrupción de la LME. Se aplicó a madres con niños menores de 6 meses que han interrumpido la LME del CMI Santa Luzmila II del distrito de Comas-Lima. Obteniendo una muestra de 150 madres. Con relación a las características sociodemográficas, el 72,7% de madres tenían entre 19 a 29 años, el 68.7% eran convivientes, el 73.3% procedente de zona urbana. Los principales factores maternos asociados a la interrupción de la lactancia materna exclusiva (LME) fueron el factor materno intrínseco (12.0%) y el factor materno extrínseco (44.7%), siendo de mayor porcentaje el factor materno extrínseco con los factores culturales (44.0%). Conclusiones: El factor intrínseco y extrínseco están asociado a la interrupción de la LME.

The objective of this study was to determine the maternal factors associated with the interruption of exclusive breastfeeding at the CMI Santa Luzmila II of the district of Comas Lima, 2021. The present study is quantitative and the research design is non-experimental. cross-sectional with a descriptive correlational scope. As an instrument, a questionnaire was used, which had 17 questions that seek to determine the association of intrinsic and extrinsic factors in the interruption of LME. It was applied to mothers with children under 6 months of age who have interrupted LME at CMI Santa Luzmila II in the district of Comas-Lima. Obtaining a sample of 150 mothers. Regarding the sociodemographic characteristics, 72.7% of mothers were between 19 to 29 years old, 68.7% were cohabiting, 73.3% from urban areas. The main maternal factors associated with the interruption of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) were the intrinsic maternal factor (12.0%) and the extrinsic maternal factor (44.7%), with the highest percentage being the extrinsic maternal factor with the cultural factors (44.0%). Conclusions: The intrinsic and extrinsic factor are associated with the interruption of EBF.
