Análisis de la manifestación de la sonorización en la línea argumental de la película El Rey León (1994)

Abstract

La sonorización de una producción cinematográfica cumple la función de enriquecer y reforzar su línea argumental de tal manera que no solo sea un mero acompañamiento o relleno, sino que también logre que el espectador se identifique con la trama y tenga una experiencia inolvidable, a través del uso de melodías, armonías, ritmos y diversos elementos sonoros. Es así como la manifestación de dichos elementos en un audiovisual se presta para el estudio de la relación de ambas en el contexto planteado mediante la dinámica imagen - sonido que ejerce y el protagonismo que obtiene en el desarrollo del film para que funcionen en conjunto como una puesta en escena completa. La presente tesis se centra en el estudio de la manifestación de la sonorización en la línea argumental de la película “El Rey León” (1994) analizando cómo influye en la narrativa audiovisual. Esta investigación se divide en el marco teórico que se refuerza con trabajos de investigación relacionados, así como también las teorías que confirman lo que se sustenta en la presente tesis. El desarrollo de investigación donde se indica a profundidad la deconstrucción de la parte sonora de la película, abarcando desde los diálogos, ambientales, efectos, hasta la sonorización de la película que ha servido de unidad de estudio. Finalmente se ofrecen conclusiones y sugerencias para enriquecer los resultados obtenidos durante la investigación para beneficio de los próximos realizadores y compositores audiovisuales. El trabajo concluye presentando al sonido como un elemento que no solo funciona como un recurso más para la construcción de una producción cinematográfica, sino que además posee las herramientas para tomar el control de la narrativa, así como también personificarse y obtener protagonismo en base a métodos de jerarquización (planos sonoros). Este estudio demuestra cómo se manifiesta la sonorización en la línea argumental a partir del uso de instrumentos de deconstrucción y análisis de partituras que han permitido recoger los datos más relevantes para demostrar la tesis planteada.

The sound of a film production fulfills the function of enriching and modifying its plot line in such a way that it is not only a mere accompaniment or filler, but also achieves that the viewer identifies with the plot and has an unforgettable experience, through the use of melodies, harmonies, rhythms and various sound elements. This is how the manifestation of these elements in an audiovisual work lends itself to the study of the relationship between both in the context posed by the dynamic image - sound that it exerts and the protagonism that it obtains in the development of the cinema so that they work together as a full staging. This thesis focuses on the study of the manifestation of sound in the plot line of the movie "The Lion King" (1994) analyzing how it influences the audiovisual narrative. This research is divided into the theoretical framework that is reinforced with related research papers, as well as the theories that confirm what is supported in this thesis. The research development where the depth of the construction of the sound part of the film is indicated, ranging from dialogues, environmental, effects to the original filmscore of the film that has served as the unit of study. Finally, conclusions and suggestions are offered to enrich the results obtained during the research for the benefit of the next audiovisual directors and composers. The work concludes by presenting sound as an element that not only functions as another resource for the construction of a film production, but also has the tools to take control of the narrative, as well as personify and gain prominence based on methods of hierarchy (sound planes). This study demonstrates how sound is manifested in the plot line from the use of deconstruction instruments and particle analysis that have allowed collect the most relevant data to demonstrate the thesis raised.
