Centro oncológico pediátrico (III – E) con criterios de arquitectura humanizada en UPSS de quimioterapia en el distrito de Carabayllo - Lima Norte, región Lima, Perú – 2021

Abstract

El cáncer, al día de hoy, sigue siendo una de las principales causas de muerte en el mundo, siendo sinónimo de temor en la población, debido a que esta enfermedad no distingue entre edad, genero, clases sociales, etc., todos somos vulnerables a ser afectados, incluso los infantes y adolescentes. Esta investigación titulada “Criterios de Arquitectura Humanizada en UPSS de Quimioterapia en un Centro Oncológico Pediátrico” en el Distrito de Carabayllo - Lima Norte, se realizó con el objetivo de desarrollar una arquitectura hospitalaria óptima para niños y adolescentes que sufren de cáncer con el fin de albergar, dar atención médica y rehabilitar a sus pacientes, a través de espacios donde se sientan en confort y sean amigables para que puedan encontrar un tratamiento que les permita aumentar sus probabilidades de vida y en base a ello, funcionando mediante su diseño como un agente de terapia, para tener una pronta recuperación, no solo en el sentido físico sino también psicológico, rompiendo la idea que se tiene de los hospitales como lugares funcionales mas no empáticos para los menores. La tesis se trabajó de acuerdo a la investigación de las problemáticas que surgen a partir del cáncer de esta población pediátrica, siendo Lima NORTE, el sector que reúne las condiciones con mejor ubicación para este centro debido a la falta de este equipamiento urbano en toda la región, sirviendo como apoyo del Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN), que es la institución nacional actual de mayor importancia para el tratamiento de cáncer y que cuenta con una unidad especializada en Pediatría. Se empleó como metodología, la aplicación de una variable aplicada en otras infraestructuras hospitalarias que se asemejen al objetivo de este centro y que posean las mismas características de ubicación y localización. Finalmente se obtiene como resultado las condiciones de diseño para aplicación de esta variable, para en una futura fase, utilizarlo como base de sustento de un Proyecto Arquitectónico. Se afirma que, con la inserción del centro de Oncológico Pediátrico en el Sector de Lima Norte, abarque un ámbito regional, mejorará significativamente la disminución, prevención y la rehabilitación de personas que padecen de cáncer.

Cancer, to this day, continues to be one of the main causes of death in the world, being synonymous with fear in the population, because this disease does not distinguish between age, gender, social classes, etc., we are all vulnerable to be affected, including infants and adolescents. This research entitled "Humanized Architecture Criteria in Chemotherapy UPSS in a Pediatric Oncology Center" in the District of Carabayllo - Lima Norte, was carried out with the objective of developing an optimal hospital architecture for children and adolescents suffering from cancer in order to house, provide medical care and rehabilitate their patients, through spaces where they feel comfortable and friendly so that they can find a treatment that allows them to increase their chances of life and based on this, working through its design as an agent of therapy, to have a speedy recovery, not only in the physical sense but also psychological, breaking the idea that hospitals have as functional places but not empathetic for minors. The thesis was worked according to the investigation of the problems that arise from the cancer of this pediatric population, being Lima NORTH, the sector that meets the conditions with the best location for this center due to the lack of this urban equipment in the entire region, serving as support for the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN), which is currently the most important national institution for cancer treatment and has a specialized unit in Pediatrics. The methodology used was the application of a variable applied in other hospital infrastructures that resemble the objective of this center and that have the same characteristics of location and location. Finally, the design conditions for the application of this variable are obtained as a result, in order to use it as the basis of support for an Architectural Project in a future phase. It is stated that, with the insertion of the Pediatric Oncology Center in the North Lima Sector, encompassing a regional scope, it will significantly improve the reduction, prevention and rehabilitation of people suffering from cancer.
