Nivel de conocimientos sobre infecciones de transmisión sexual en los adolescentes de 3ro, 4to y 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Jesús de Nazareth, Lima, 2023

Abstract

​​​Justificación: Las Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual (ITS), son un problema de salud pública mundial, que tienen efectos profundos en la salud sexual y reproductiva, afectan a personas de cualquier edad, aunque son los adolescentes uno de los grupos poblacionales más afectados. Esto debido a la falta de información que existe sobre la salud sexual y reproductiva. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre las infecciones de transmisión sexual que tienen los adolescentes de 3ro, 4to y 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Privada Jesús de Nazareth, 2023. Metodología: El presente estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo y diseño no experimental. La población estuvo conformada por 51 estudiantes de 3ero, 4to y 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Privada Jesús de Nazareth, 2023. Se aplicó un cuestionario. Resultados: Respecto al nivel de conocimientos generales sobre ITS se obtuvo un nivel alto con un 77%, en la dimensión de conocimientos de los signos y síntomas de las ITS se obtuvo un nivel alto con un 85%, por otro lado, se obtuvo un nivel alto con un 54% en el nivel de conocimiento sobre conductas y factores de riesgo de ITS, respecto a medidas de prevención de las ITS se obtuvo un nivel alto en conocimiento con un 71%. Conclusión: Los adolescentes de 3ero, 4to y 5to de secundario de la Institución Educativa Privada Jesús de Nazareth presentaron un nivel de conocimiento alto respecto a conceptos y generalidades de las Infecciones de Transmisión sexual.​​

Justification: Sexually Transmitted Infections (ITS) are a global public health problem, which have profound effects on sexual and reproductive health, affecting people of any age, although adolescents are one of the most affected population groups. This is due to the lack of information that exists on sexual and reproductive health. Objective: The objective of this research is to determine the level of knowledge about sexually transmitted infections that adolescents in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of secondary school at the Jesús de Nazareth Private Educational Institution have, 2023. Methodology: The present study has a quantitative, descriptive type and non-experimental design. The population was made up of 51 students from the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of secondary school from the Jesús de Nazareth Private Educational Institution, 2023. A questionnaire was applied. Results: Regarding the level of general knowledge about STIs, a high level was obtained with 77%, in the dimension of knowledge of the signs and symptoms of STIs a high level was obtained with 85%, on the other hand, a high level with 54% in the level of knowledge about behaviors and risk factors for STIs, with respect to STI prevention measures a high level of knowledge was obtained with 71%. Conclusion: Adolescents in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of secondary school at the Jesús de Nazareth Private Educational Institution presented a high level of knowledge regarding concepts and generalities of Sexually Transmitted Infections.
