Peru is in the central, western part of South America. It is located between 81°19′35″and 68°30′11″ west longitude, and between 0°01′48″ and 18°21′05″ south latitude. It borders Ecuador and Colombia to the North, Brazil to the East, Chile and Bolivia to the South and the Pacific Ocean to the West.Peru covers 1,285,216 km2.
