dc.description.abstractRESUMEN El presente trabajo de investigación estudió la relación entre la cultura financiera en el uso de las tarjetas de crédito con el nivel de endeudamiento de los usuarios de una entidad financiera de Cajamarca 2016, donde surge el siguiente problema: ¿Cómo se relaciona la cultura financiera en el uso de tarjetas de crédito con el nivel de endeudamiento de los usuarios de una entidad financiera en la ciudad de Cajamarca en el año 2016?, para lo cual se planteó la siguiente hipótesis: Si, existe una relación significativa entre la cultura financiera en el uso de tarjetas de crédito con el nivel de endeudamiento de los usuarios de una entidad financiera en la ciudad de Cajamarca en el año 2016. La metodología de investigación utilizada fue de no experimental y correlacional. La investigación se llevó a cabo con la aplicación de una encuesta con 24 ítems de los cuales 04 estuvieron orientados a la información general de los usuarios de tarjetas de crédito. Para la primera variable de cultura financiera la encuesta contó con 10 ítems, así como para la segunda variable de nivel de endeudamiento; la cual obtuvo una confiabilidad de 0.76% y fue validad a través del juicio de expertos con 24 ítems de los cuales 04 estuvieron orientados a la información general de los usuarios de tarjetas de crédito; con 10 los primeros ítems se recogió datos para la primera variable de cultura financiera y con 10 últimos ítems se obtuvo información para la segunda variable de nivel de endeudamiento. Posteriormente, dicha encuesta fue aplicada a una determinada muestra de una entidad financiera en la ciudad de Cajamarca. Una vez que se logró obtener la información deseada, éstos fueron sometidos al programa estadístico del SPSS, obteniendo un resultado final, con un nivel de significancia de 0.05. Los resultados muestran, según la prueba estadística chi-cuadrado de Pearson que existe una relación significativa entre las variables de estudio, es decir que existe una considerable falta de cultura financiera en el uso de tarjetas de crédito, elevando el nivel de endeudamiento de los usuarios de una entidad financiera en la ciudad de Cajamarca en el año 2016. Por lo tanto, se resume que a mayor cultura financiera en el uso de tarjetas de crédito existiría un menor nivel de endeudamiento. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This research studied the relationship between financial literacy in the use of credit cards with the level of indebtedness of users of a financial institution of Cajamarca 2016, where the next problem arises: How financial literacy is related in the use of credit cards with the debt level of the users of a financial institution in the city of Cajamarca in 2016?, for which the following hypothesis is proposed: Yes, there is a significant relationship between financial literacy in the use of credit cards with the debt level of the users of a financial institution in the city of Cajamarca in 2016. The research methodology used was non-experimental and correlational. The research was carried out with the application of a survey with 24 items of which 04 were oriented to the general information of credit card users. For the first variable of financial literacy survey counted 10 items and for the second variable level of indebtedness; which gained 0.76% reliability and validity was through the judgment of experts with 24 items of which 04 were oriented to the general information of credit card users; 10 the first items data for the first variable of financial literacy and last 10 items collected information for the second variable debt level was obtained. Subsequently, the survey was applied to a given sample of a financial institution in the city of Cajamarca. Once achieved the desired information, they were subjected to statistical SPSS program, obtaining a final result, with a significance level of 0.05. The results show, according to statistics chi-square test of pearson that there is a significant relationship between the study variables, ie that there is a considerable lack of financial literacy in the use of credit cards, raising the level of indebtedness of users a financial institution in the city of Cajamarca in 2016.
