Conocimiento y uso de métodos anticonceptivos en alumnos del 4to y 5to de secundaria de la I. E. 20293 “Santa Rosa de Yangas” Lima - 2022

Abstract

La investigación fue de tipo descriptiva simple, transversal y de diseño no experimental, la muestra fue de 64 alumnos de la I.E “Santa Rosa de Yangas”. Los resultados con respecto al nivel de conocimiento de métodos anticonceptivos fueron el 35,9% de los alumnos muestran un nivel de conocimiento alto, 59,4% nivel de conocimiento medio y el 4,7 bajo. Según sus dimensiones en concepto 50% tuvo un nivel de conocimiento medio, en dimensión importancia el 79,7% fue nivel de conocimiento alto, en dimensión tipo el 67,2% tuvo un nivel de conocimiento alto y en frecuencia el 48, 45% fue alto. Referente al uso de algún método anticonceptivo el 76,6% no usa ningún método anticonceptivo, mientras que el 23,4% si usa. Acerca de qué tipo de método usa el 71% no usan ningún tipo, el 20% usa condón masculino y el 9% usa píldoras anticonceptivas. Conclusión, los alumnos tienen un nivel de conocimiento medio, pero es preocupante ya que la gran mayoría refiere no usar ningún tipo de método anticonceptivo. Además, es importante una buena enseñanza por parte del profesional de salud y dejar de lado los conocimientos empíricos sin fundamentos que muchas veces son erróneos.

The research was simple descriptive, cross-sectional and non-experimental design, the sample was 64 students from the I.E "Santa Rosa de Yangas". The results regarding the level of knowledge of contraceptive methods were 35.9% of the students show a high level of knowledge, 59.4% medium level of knowledge and 4.7 low. According to its dimensions, in concept 50% had a medium level of knowledge, in the importance dimension 79.7% had a high level of knowledge, in the type dimension 67.2% had a high level of knowledge and in frequency 48.45% it was high. Regarding the use of some contraceptive method, 76.6% do not use any contraceptive method, while 23.4% do. Regarding what type of method, they use, 71% do not use any type, 20% use a male condom and 9% use birth control pills. Conclusion, students have a medium level of knowledge but it is worrying since the vast majority refer not to use any type of contraceptive method. In addition, good teaching by the health professional is important and leaving aside unfounded empirical knowledge that is often wrong.
