Diseño de la rehabilitación del pavimento flexible mediante la técnica whitetopping en el tramo límite distrital Trujillo – Óvalo Huanchaco 2018

Abstract

La presente investigación se realizó en el tramo, limite distrital Trujillo – Óvalo Huanchaco con el objetivo de diseñar una sobre capa de concreto sobre un pavimento flexible para luego dar solución aplicando un mejoramiento o rehabilitación en los tramos críticos con alta presencia de fallas en el pavimento. La técnica por aplicar será la del Whitetopping, el cual consiste en una sobre capa de concreto.

Esta investigación es de alta importancia ya que aportará a nuevas soluciones de reparaciones del pavimento, ayudando a los profesionales ingenieros y a empresas del rubro de infraestructura vial a optar con esta nueva técnica de rehabilitación como a su vez de optimizar en costo y tiempo de ejecución.

El diseño de esta investigación es no experimental ya que no se manipulará las variables debido a que se realizará una búsqueda empírica y sistemática de los problemas. Así mismo será descriptivo porque se tendrá que ubicar y clasificar la situación en la cual se encuentra mi unidad de estudio para poder ser medida y finalmente será transversal ya que se tendrá que recopilar los datos mediante formatos de trabajo en un tiempo programado.

El Whitetopping permitirá al pavimento mejorarlo estructuralmente, dándole un mayor tiempo de vida para soportar las diferentes cargas de transito de los vehículos como a su vez de los diferentes factores externos que pueda ocurrir como es el caso de las lluvias, altas temperaturas en verano y cambios bruscos de temperatura. Además, que su aplicación es de corto plazo y no genera congestión vehicular.

The present investigation was carried out in the section, Trujillo - Ovalo Huanchaco District Limit, with the objective of evaluating the condition of an existing flexible pavement and then giving solution by applying an improvement or rehabilitation in the critical sections with high presence of pavement failures. The technique to be applied will be that of Whitetopping, which consists of an overlayer of concrete.

This research is of high importance as it will contribute to new pavement repair solutions, helping professional engineers and companies in the road infrastructure sector to opt with this new rehabilitation technique as well as optimize in cost and time of execution.

The design of this research is not experimental since the variables will not be manipulated due to an empirical and systematic search of the problems. It will also be descriptive because it will have to locate and classify the situation in which my unit of study is located to be able to be measured and finally it will be transversal since the data will have to be collected through work formats in a programmed time.

The Whitetopping will allow the pavement to improve it structurally, giving it a longer life to support the different traffic loads of the vehicles as well as the different external factors that may occur such as the case of rains, high temperatures in summer and changes abrupt temperature In addition, its application is short term and does not generate traffic congestion.
